Why does the chimney make noises or vibrate when the fan is switched on?
You may need to check the angle brackets on the chimney fan. When a chimney fan is fitted using angle brackets, it is important to ensure that there is a gap between the brackets and the sides of the chimney and that the fan is positioned on the insulation mat. Make sure that the brackets are properly tightened AND that they are positioned 5 mm from the inner surface of the chimney pipe.
