To help prevent the overcharging of the cells we have engineered into the charger a temperature sensor that monitors the cells. When the temperature falls below a pre-determined point the charger switches on automatically. When a pre-determined maximum temperature is reached it switches off again. This system allows the battery to be left on the charger for several weeks at a time without damaging the cells.
