Yes, there is a story she took this part in the ‘ Emmerdale TV show’ on condition that she would always be allowed to wear a hat, as many different hats as possible! Edna Birch has a very well known hat shop in the Hull area of the UK, and sales have gone through the roof since she was on this pro gramme, if you ever visit this area of the UK you will find most women from Hull wearing similar style hats!! They also wear clogs (wooden shoes similar to the women in Holland) A very interesting place, don’t forget to take your camera if you ever visit!!! Hope this helps???
