Why does the Chapter mostly rely on swords for close combat?
The weapon masters of the Chapter will try to explain this away to many reasons, like; that the sword is more elegant, more diverse, easer to use in confined spaces, that you can easily stab, slash, hammer and parry with a sword. Some will argue that the sword is art, and that it holds a spiritual meaning, and that mastering the sword gives on greater insight into the mysteries of existence. Some will tell you that once you’re out of ammo, the Sword is your friend. Some will argue that in confines spaces and Jungles, there is no better weapon. The essential reason must however be put down to tradition and military doctrine.
