Why does the CD ROM drive letter not show in “My Computer” after I connect the CD ROM to the Rough Ryder II machine?
A. First, go to control panel, system icon, device manager and check hard disk controller to see if there is a third line; say Ide/eide hard disk controller. If there isn’t one, go to control panel, add new hardware, click next, select No, click next and select Ide/eide hard drive controller, IRQ=15, address 170-176 etc., (if it does not show IRQ=15, go to control panel, pc card and disable both Texas Instrument PCMCIA drivers) click next and finish the setup. Reboot the computer, the CD ROM should be recognized as d or e drive now.
