Carbon Dioxide, Sulphur Dioxide and Halogens are not the only gases that come out of volcanoes. You also get other nasties like Carbon Monoxide, Hydrogen Sulphide, Hydrochloric acid, and Sulphuric acid. Volcanoes also give off water vapour.
