Why does the candle light go of if it comes in contact with sodium bicarbonate and vinegar?
Vinegar +sodium bicarbonate make carbon dioxide gas, this gas doesnt allow candles to burn.Carbon dioxide is much heavier than air so it fills the glass, just like water would, and drowns the candle flame, you can’t light a candle under water so you can’t light a candle under carbon dioxide. If you look carefully, and if the walls of the glass are cold, you might see the carbon dioxide as a mist but you’d need luck.
