First and foremost, be sure that you have installed the latest version of Microsoft’s Sandcastle documentation compiler tools and the HTML help compiler(s). The Sandcastle tools and the help compilers are not part of the help file builder and must be downloaded and installed separately.. The help file builder is written by Eric Woodruff and consists of a GUI and a project build system that act as front ends to the Sandcastle tools and help compilers produced by Microsoft.
