Why does The Becket School need to relocate?

0

At present The Becket School operates from two sites – 11-16 year olds at the main site in Ruddington Lane, and the 16-18 year olds at the upper school site in Wilford Lane. The school also has seven off-site facilities for games and outdoor pursuits because there is a lack of on-site space. The Becket Upper School site is not owned by the school authorities and its owners wish to have the site back . The need for a single site school is recognised by the government. The Department for Education and Skills accepted the need for a replacement school since the late 1990s.
