Why does the air force recruiter tell me not to worry about studying for the ASVAB?

Simple…. cause he’s a bone head! He wants you to get a low score because his monthly quota is for 4 cooks and 2 light vehicle mechanics (example). Guess what, cooks just need to pass the ASVAB and dont need a high score. Could be a number of jobs but I’m 100% sure he’s an active duty recruiter without you even saying that. Do your best, study hard and pick the career you want. If you dont score high enough, you can take the ASVAB 100 times till you do. National Guard and Air Guard recruiters also have a quota but it’s for body count and not job specfic like it is for active duty recruiters. So if you need a straight answer or have a question about how legit the actve guy is, just call a “Nasty Guard” recruiter. They will always give you honest feedback. Either that or send me an email and I’ll walk you thru everything.
