Why does TDF request a doctors consent letter?
You are likely to be asked to provide a consent letter if you have a history of: • Cancer (active or in remission) • Inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis • Strokes/history of blood clots • Heart disease and angina • Recent or multiple operations • Epilepsy • Brittle bones • Diabetes • Multiple Sclerosis • Cerebral Palsy Or are currently on any of the following drug treatments: • Oral corticosteroids • Immuno-suppresants drugs • Dialysis • Warfarin This is not comprehensive or exhaustive and certain other conditions or medications not mentioned above may also require consent from a doctor. This is normally decided after consultation with several therapy practitioners and remains at the discretion of TDF.
