Why does SoundHound require access to my phone state and location?
We ask for the phone state so that we can handle the situation when a phone call comes in while you are tagging a song. We have to release the microphone so that the phone call can use it. And, we ask for location because we occasionally offer content that is localized. For example, users in different countries may see different music charts or links to music stores. We know that, in this day and age, it’s better to be safe than sorry, so please rest assured that we do not collect any personally identifiable information through our app.
