Why does society not accept the diversity in life, customs, ideas etc?
Diversity will be a topic of discussions and an universal concern for years to come. You can ask this question years from now and diversity will still be in the forefront open for discussion. There are so many societal differences– cultures, nationalities, religions, genders, age, likes vs dislikes, pink vs blue etc. It is easier for some to ignore differences/diversity because it is easier and more comfortable to go with, and stay with, what one is accustomed to. It is easier “not” to learn why people from different cultures, etc., react differently in certain situations. I’m sure we have all been told that “diversity education,” at an early age, is the key. Keep asking questions, to make people think. Maybe thinking coupled with early education, will eventually get the message across.
