Why does society hate fat people or have a problem with peoople being fat?
Because weight is one of the few physical results of an attractive evolutionary trait left. We can’t see how much people make (clothes can be deceiving, and a nice car can mean debt). We can’t see their diseases usually, and never their mental problems or personality flaws. But at a glance you can gauge how healthy someone is based on their weight and body type, and thus their ability to provide for a family. Now I’m not saying it’s accurate, but I think that’s why people (especially those that are insecure or uneducated, because they are unaware of their thought process) dislike overweight people. It’s the same reason why people used to make fun of people with glasses, or really pale. Also, the media enforces it. I.e. Check out Jen Aniston’s Bikini work out. She can look like this, so can you (if you can afford her personal trainer, 3 hour workouts, and nutritionist, and chef). Personally overweight people get a little more flak from me then fat people, because it would take such smal
