Why does Sigma Tau Gamma (like most other Fraternities) have “secret” rituals?
In our experience, having secrets that only members know instills a sense of belonging, friendship, and mutual trust and respect. While many of the stereotypical practices of Fraternities are outdated and ineffective, we believe that having certain secrets creates strong bonds between brothers, as well as pride in the organization as a whole.
