Why does Shawn troll?
It is simply a bit of harmless fun. In his own words: “It is funny to see the replies I get over something that is as stupid as say no to refractors or gotos. I post something silly and many reply back with very serious answers to something foolish. I find it amusing. I love humor. In fact I love it so much maybe sometimes I over do it. But it is fun to see the over serious responses and the killfiling that goes on over something that is as harmless as say no to refractors. They are only meant for fun nothing more.” Also, unlike other trollers, his posts are always on-topic for the group. Yes, but I find his posts silly and child-like. You really need to develop a sense of humor, or learn how to *plonk* (use killfiles). It is your newsreader – you have control. I am worried that his posts may mislead beginners. He has never posted misleading advice. Some of his opinions have certainly been unpopular, and many of his trolls are exaggerated to enhance the catch, but they are always based
