Why does ScienceCorps send graduate students into high school classrooms?
Sending USM graduate students into rural classrooms to enrich opportunities for laboratory-based learning answers an important need in the high schools and also provides the graduate students with experiences outside of the research laboratory in roles that we hope will encourage their career-long involvement as citizens in activities that foster scientific literacy.
