Why does Rosie’s Place only serve women?
When Rosie’s Place began, there were very limited services available to poor women, and no shelter. Rosie’s Place responded to the needs of poor and homeless women, and through the decades, has decided to do what we know what we can do best: provide services in a respectful and dignified manner to women in need. We believe that our talents and skills lie in serving this group of vulnerable people, and we have shaped our programs and services to meet their particular needs.
