Why Does Right Click Not Always Work On Outlook Entries?

In most areas of Outlook 2003 my right clicking function works perfectly fine. But if I right click on a specific Outlook item (email, contact, task etc.) I do not get a context specific menu. (I would rather not have to go up to the menu bar every time I want to take action on one of these items.) The hardware works fine because I do get the right click menu in other places (even in Outlook). This only appears to happen when I am right clicking on data items/entries.
