Why does Restek’s stainless steel tubing look like copper?
Our instrument-grade, pre-cleaned stainless steel tubing undergoes a cleaning process with biodegradable detergents, followed by a gas purge and thermal bakeout. The thermal bakeout causes the stainless steel to take on a copper color, but this does not affect the quality or performance of the tubing.
