They are wrong. George Bush did not have the lowest approval rating in history … Abraham Lincoln did. In fact, several states were so upset and disgusted with Lincoln’s behaviour as president that they left the Union altogether and he was blamed for the deaths of all the soldiers who died during the Civil War and all the American families who were torn apart and the destruction of the South’s economy. Now he’s revered as one of the greatest presidents in our history, but in his time, he was considered by many Americans to be a war criminal.
