Nurses are well-educated professionals, trusted by their communities and possessing skills and knowledge that make them a natural constituency for Red Cross. Nurses play an important role in local, national and international disaster relief operations. In addition, nurses are needed to teach health and safety education courses, community safety and preparedness and senior initiative programs such as Lifeline and I’m OK.
