Why does PS1 games look better on PCs(emulator)then on PS2?

The PS2 doesn’t use an emulator – it has the actual processors from the PS1 inside, so the games are basically running on native hardware with no changes. The PC’s emulator has had some enhancements made to its graphic routines to try and smooth out the lines more. The PS2 actually has something like this as well, but it doesn’t work with some PS1 games, so they’re left off. (turn on the PS2 without a game inside to get the PS2’s configuration menus, and there’s one for the PS1 that allows you to turn on the various enhancements.
