Why does programming in XYZ coordinates not work properly?

0

A. The robot can either be programmed in a relative mode by teaching positions or by entering the XYZ coordinates directly. When initially powered-up, the robot must be calibrated if it is to be programmed in XYZ coordinates rather than by teaching positions. The Z axis is on the vertical center of the robot. The X & Y axes lieon the plane of the platform to which the robot is bolted. The calibration places the X, Y & Z origins at the intersection point of the three axes, namely where the vertical center of the the robot intersects the platform to which the robot is bolted. When using XYZ coordinates it is the tip of the gripper which is being referenced. Perform the following steps to calibrate the SCORBOT.
