Why does Pell need time to disburse and what is COD?
Each time a student makes changes their enrollment hours, prior to Census date, their Pell disbursement changes. All disbursement activity must be with Department of Education via the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD) process. No disbursements will occur until the record is finalized and accepted by COD. The turnaround time for this process averages 4 business days.
