Why does PCguard Anti-Spyware fail to load when PCguard starts?
If PCguard Anti-Spyware program fails, there are two possible fixes: Fix 1: 1. Shut down PCguard by right-clicking on the PCguard icon in the taskbar, and selecting ‘Shutdown’. 2. Click on the ‘Start’ button. 3. Select the ‘Programs’ menu option. 4. Select the ‘PCguard’ menu option. 5. Click on the ‘Diagnostic Utility’ icon. 6. Click on the ‘OK’ button when the dialogue box appears. 7. Select ‘Perform all tests’. 8. Click ‘OK’ when test results are returned. 9. Click on the ‘Register COM’ button. Fix 2: 1. Locate and run the following file on your PC, or click on this link: C:\Program Files\Common Files\PestPatrol\ppsdk.msi 2. Choose the ‘Remove’ option. This will remove all the files associated with the Anti-Virus software. 3. If Windows asks to restart, click No. 4. Run the ‘ppsdk.msi’ file again. This should reinstall the Anti-Spyware files. 5. Restart your PC. 6. Run PCguard Anti-Spyware. It should now load properly.
