Why does ParishWeb provide the Exchange Mail service?

0

We do not under any circumstances divulge your e-mail address to any third party, including other members of Parish Web Exchange. When you use Exchange Mail to mail another member, the e-mail will be sent from the “noreplies” account, but in the body of the mail they will see that the message is From (your nickname here). This will protect you from the unwanted attention of spammers who may be visiting Parish Web Exchange, whilst still allowing you to contact other members by e-mail. We understand that not everybody will be interested in receiving direct communications from other members, and therefore we allow you to set your preference through your Profile. When you first log in, this preference is set to not allow other members to contact you through Exchange Mail, so if you want to avail of this service you must update your profile accordingly.
