Why does Outlook take a long time to access the Migrated Mail folder or any other folder with a large number of e-mails?
If you need regularly access to folders with relatively large amount of e-mails such as the Migrated Mail folder it is recommended that you pre-cache (pre-load emails into Outlook) the migrated messages or e-mails within a folder. This will enable you to work offline or online and be able to access the e-mails in the folders quickly without delay. Feedback indicates that e-mail access seems slow immediately after migration. This is because the messages transferred from the old e-mail system have not been read from within the new Outlook system and sometimes accessing large amount of e-mails in a subfolder can take the system longer than expected.
