Why does Obama refuse to wear a flag pin and put hand over heart during the National Anthem?
It seems that there are people (like you) who feel that at every person’s life they proclaim “I will wear the flag lapel pin till the day I die!” or some would say “I will NEVER wear the flag lapel pin!”….Like its some big Final Exam or solemn oath to God Almighty…. for people like you it is some kind of lifestyle. Homosexuals vs. Heterosexuals…Christians vs. Non-Christians… Flag Lapel Wearers vs. Non-Flag Lapel Wearers…. everything has to be labeled and everything has to be a fight. For the rest of us it is a FRIGGING lapel pin. I have served in the Marine Corps… I wear suits to work most of the time… I don’t wear a flag lapel pin…. I don’t think about it… Its a frigging lapel pin. It doesn’t mean anything about a person’s patriotism. Anybody that thinks that patriotism can be measured by lapel pins are completely ridiculous and I think this issue is childish. As far as putting his hand on his heart… as a former Marine, I stand up for the anthem.. I don’t salute it
