Check the following: –Make sure that the router and the Configuration Engine server can ping each other. –Make sure that the event gateway on the Configuration Engine server is up and running by using one of the following commands: Status for plain text mode: /etc/init.d/EvtGateway Status for SSL encrypted mode: /etc/init.d/EvtGatewayCrypto –Clear the cns event command, then re-enter it without specifying a port number.
