Why does Noddy have a bell on his hat ?
I’m too old to know who Noddy is, but years and years ago there used to be people called Court Jesters who used to play the fool and entertain the gentry. They had funny hats with four tails coming off them and at the end of each tail there was a bell. When the Jester jumped around the bells would make a noise and people would look at the Jester to see what tricks he would get up to. Maybe Noddy is doing the same thing.
