Unlike the peroxide and saline method, the e-beam process is completely chemical-free. There are no chemicals used in the cross-linking process. This helps to ensure safe drinking water. This method also helps NIBCO PEX to straighten easier from coil. NIBCO PEX remembers being straight when it was cross-linked. Other methods cross-link the pipe while it is in a coil, thus giving it the slinky effect.
