Humidity affects the length of hair. High humidity causes hair to get shorter, and most naturally straight hair will curve as it gets shorter because some parts of the hair get shorter than others (i. e. one side of the hair gets 1mm shorter whereas the other side gets 1.2mm shorter), causing the hair to curve.
