Why does my X-10 system not work, or work intermittenly?
Noise. Not the kind you hear with your ears, but the kind that exists on your 120 volt power system in your house. There are many devices out there which are designed to minimize the effects of computer power supplies, home stereo systems, television sets, etc. Talk to Smarthome about noise suppressors to make your X10 system work good. DO NOT expect X10 stuff to just work out of the box. My stuff has never worked right. That’s why my X10 stuff is for non-mission-critical parts of my alarm system (like lights).
