Put about 2kg of old fashioned washing soda crystals in the drum of the machine and run the machine on the hottest cycle. When it is finished, leave the machine open for several hours. …………problem solved I guarantee. It is a good idea to do this every three months or so.

Run a rinse cycle on your machine, with just some washing up liquid in it, twice over. Leave your machine door open between washes, and check the filter is clean. They can really stink if they get clogged!
