Why does my voice crack when i sing?
Usually the voice cracking is due to your voice being “cold”. It helps if you warm your voice up by using more air on easier music or singing more softly until it gets easier to sing. Warming your voice is not instantaneous, sometimes it takes me 45 minutes to make my voice fully warm. Sometimes when i work with guys, their voices crack on notes that they’re not used to singing, or if the song is out of their range. Also if you scream and yell, it puts even more strain on your voice than when you’re singing. I’m not sure what style you’re singing, but I would suggest singing something like a ballad that is in the middle of your range to decide if your voice is “bad” like you might think. Your voice shouldn’t crack if the song is in a comfortable range for you and you don’t oversing it.
