Why does my Vauxhall Omega engine light come on, and some other problems?
I had a 2.0 16v on a 1996 and my engine management light came on, so I took it to the dealer to have a look. Vauxhall do not charge you for them to have a look. Mine was a faulty crank case sender which cost £95 fitted plus they gave it a health check to see if anything else was ok. That’s all it was, a sender switch which is situated on the left hand side of the engine. On monday just book it in and let them have a look, it was free back in 2004 just to give it a check, once you know what it is, you can drive away and find somewhere cheaper, plus you can tell Joe Bloggs the mechanic the precise problem, so they think you know your stuff, so then they will not try anything on by trying to rip you off.
