Why does my TravelHood say that it can determine my current location?
To determine where you are located, we use your IP address. This is mostly pretty accurate but there are a few reasons which can make it such that we can’t find out where you are like; – Sometimes, for security reasons, some internet cafe and networks hide your IP address which means that we can’t find out where you are. – Some very remote Internet connections use satellites instead of regular land lines. These types of connections hide your location from us. – Some networks use a special device called a proxy. This isn’t usually a problem but some large Internet providers like AOL use massive proxies which hide which location you are coming from. So, what do you do if you are getting this message? There isn’t a whole lot that you can do. Try another cyber cafr wait until you login from another city to try again. If that doesn’t do it, then you may not be able to use the TravelHood from where you are trying from. Sorry!
