Why does my standalone version of FactSage not run under Windows XP?

This is a very common problem. FactSage works under Windows 98 (2000, ME, etc.) and then you install it under XP and it no longer works. In the FactSage main menu click on “Tools > MemoHASP Security Key (dongle) > Display driver status ..”. Check that the most recent MemoHASP drivers (version 4.95 or higher) are installed. To install the most recent drivers you need access to FactSage 5.3.1 or you need to download MemoHASP drivers from the internet. If you do not have access to 5.3.1 visit Latest HASP Device Driver Downloads and download Hinstall.zip (version 4.95), unzip it and copy the file Hinstall.exe to the \MemoHASP folder found in the FactSage directory of your PC. To install the most recent drivers try the following: • Make sure that you are the XP “Administrator” with “full privileges”. • Make sure you have updated the PC to the new FactSage 5.3.1 (or downloaded Hinstall.exe from the internet – see above). • In the FactSage-Setup main menu click on “Tools > MemoHASP Security K
