Why does my Polaris 140 appear to be stuck repeatedly at the water line?
Two factors can cause the Polaris to get stuck at the water line, the water flow and the hose weights. First, check the flow regulator at the end of the hose to verify that it is clear of debris. Then use it to verify that the cleaner is receiving the correct amount of water flow. The indicator should register inside the target range window. If it does not, verify that the pool filter system is clean, the suction lines are closed except for the one used by the Polaris, the cuffs on the hoses are pushed together as closely as possible, and that there are no leaks. If the unit operates on a dedicated suction line, adjust the valve that controls the water flow through the line until the flow indicator is in the window. If the unit utilizes a skimmer installation, turn the knob on the flow regulator until the indicator is within the window.
