Why does my package registration number show no results on the Royal mail or USPS web site?

Unfortunately Royal mail does not track incoming registered airmail. USPS do track incoming registered airmail but only show results once a package has reached the local delivery hub, approx 1 day before they make delivery. Until this time the USPS track & trace tool will have no record of the package number.
