Why does my nvidia gforce 6600 cause my computer to freeze?
Without more detailed information everyone’s answer so far is just a guess. If you can supply us with detailed specs of your PC including what version of drivers you are using, whether the 6600 is active or passive cooled & what power supply you have. The freezing problem could be due to: Conflicts with onboard graphics. Overheating – esp. if it’s passivly cooled. Not enough juice supplied to system by PSU (power supply) You have a bad card. Not seated correctly in expansion slot. The list goes on….. I hope even some of this helps you…and like I say, add your specs and any other info to this question and I’ll check back later.
