Why does my new house have a Potential energy rating higher that its Current energy rating?
The Current energy rating given on the EPC, is based on the features of the house as built. The accompanying Recommendation Report lists any additional cost effective measures that can be carried out to further improve the energy efficiency of your new home. By carrying out these additional cost effective measures you can achieve your Potential energy rating.
