Why does my MotoNav show that it is disconnecting and reconnecting with the iPod when it is physically staying connected?
• The iPod is connected to the PND via the pins on the charging cradle and after numerous insert and removal cycles of the PND into the charging cradle, the pogo pin tips (gold color pins on the cradle) can get contaminated with non-conductive materials resulting in an intermittent connection with the PND pads. A periodic simple wipe of the tips and of the PND pads with a Q-tip will clear this coating, and restores functionality. Wipes with isopropyl alcohol may also be used. Sometimes, even removing the PND from the cradle and reseating it in the cradle will help the situation.
