Assuming that both–the HOT and COLD water spigots are turned on–the HOT water valve may have failed. During COLD fill–the temperature of the water is *controlled* by the thermistor and computer. Periodically–the HOT water valve will be activated during COLD water fill–to maintain the correct water temperature for proper detergent cleaning effectiveness. Since detergent loses cleaning effectiveness at or below approx 68 F—the washer sensor will try to maintain a minimum temperature even if COLD wash / COLD rinse has been selected. Test the HOT water valve function by selecting a HOT water wash cycle.
