Why does my left side of my stomach hurt after exerice?
You’re hungry…you’re ravenously hungry. Your stomach is on the left side in your chest. Swimming is a good whole body workout but not very effective to lose fat reserves, since your body instinctively wants to hold on to fat because the fatter you are, the better you float. I use swimming more to build up muscle mass and because it’s refreshing, low impact and relaxing (I don’t swim fast). I usually do not eat much but swimming makes me ravenous and I have to eat more when I swim so I would not lose much fat reserves. Also, I’m thin so I don’t float. If I don’t move in the water, I sunk to the bottom of the pool (only makes me a good underwater swimmer). I spend so much energy just staying afloat that I’m exhausted after half an hour and just want to get a sauna and a snack. If you’re overweight, then you float better so you can swim for a longer time…still, your body wants you to get fatter to keep floating better so you get very hungry to a point where it hurts in the stomach.
