Why does my iPOD not work properly when it is connected to the MC4 laptop?
iPODs and other third-party peripherals are not authorized for use with the MC4 system. Recently, the MC4 support team found viruses on laptops in theater that stemmed from users’ iPODs and thumb drives. Connecting these devices to the MC4 system can result in reduced performance, as well as introduce viruses that corrupt data, and threaten DoD and Army networks and resources. Contact your MC4 site lead or S-6 if you are unsure what peripherals are authorized to interface with MC4 systems.
