Why does my Gradebook lock up when I try to view by Sections?
It depends on what grading system you are using – Points, Weighted, or Formula. (If you’re not sure, click Grade Settings, and then click Calculation Options and see which system is selected.) Viewing by sections, especially during high-traffic times, can cause your gradebook to lock up. You could try waiting until a lower traffic time, like an evening or weekend. But if it is essential that you access your gradebook during a high-traffic time, contact icon-support@uiowa.edu, and an administrator can unlock your gradebook and set it to View by user: You won’t be able to view by sections, but you will be able to see your students.
