Why does my frog make sounds whenever i pet him?
A frog might make a noise if it is touched because, in the wild, frogs aren’t “petted”; they are eaten. So frogs make a noise to startle the offending creature and cause the animal to, hopefully, drop the frog, allowing it to get away. If noise doesn’t work, the frog may release the water held in the glands near the anus, startling the offending animal with wetness. After awhile, your frog should learn to tolerate petting and chirp less.
