Why does my friends kitten projectile vomit?
Hi Denise…vomiting can be caused by many variables such as hairballs, gorging food too quickly, switching foods suddenly, accidental ingestion of toxic substances, intestinal parasites kidney/liver failure…other feline diseases/disorders. Cats who are unable to eat can develop a life-threatening disorder called hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver syndrome) http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?… so it’s important to have the kitten evaluated to determine the cause of the vomiting before hepatic lipidosis occurs. Kittens especially are very susceptible to becoming dehydrated so this is more critical.
